About the Schengen Visa... The Schengen Visa has been made to facilitate travelling within the countries which has accepted the treaty. The holder of a Schengen Visa can travel to any of these countries, using only one visa. It is very useful for people who want to visit several countries on the same trip as the visa holder has the possibility to travel freely throughout the Schengen area for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period. The Schengen Treaty includes the following 15 countries: - Belgium

- Austria
- Greece
- Denmark
- Finland
- Iceland
- Norway
- Sweden
All these countries except Norway and Iceland are European Union members. To get a Schengen visa, you have to apply at the Embassy or Consulate of the country you want to go to. Should you want to visit several countries, you have to apply at the Embassy or Consulate of your main destination country or the country you will visit first.
