THE HOST HOUSE

To access the wonderful cultural experience of hosting, The UK Stay will ask you to provide students with the following:

        - A comfortable bedroom with a full-size bed, a desk and a chair, a wardrobe, a chest
          of drawers, a bedside light and adequate heating and ventilation
        - An access to communal areas of the house


THE HOST QUALITIES

As the main contact in the UK for students coming from abroad, we expect our host families to:

        - Be welcoming and caring
        - Be open-minded to different cultures
        - Encourage them to talk so that they can improve their English
        - Treat them as part of their family


WHO CAN BE A HOST?

A host family is not necessarily a married couple with children; you can be host if you are:

        - A couple without children
        - A single parent
        - A single person

Although most of our Host Families are located in North London, we are very happy to recruit families based in any part of London.


RATES

Our rates are based on many things including:

        - The area of where your home is based, how easy it is to get to public transport, which
           London zone it
           is based in etc
        - The size of the room and how comfortably it is furnished is also taken into 
           consideration

Our prices are based on individual basis and we will be able to confirm the rates only after we have come to meet you. If you have a rate in mind, please note it on the application form that will be sent to you with the Host Family Pack.
